# clsBenefitJurisdictionCodeMap

Loads `BENEFIT_JURISDICTION_CODE` into an application-facing code map and is normally obtained through `CodeMaps.GetBenefitJurisdictionCodeMap`. The constructor translates raw `code` values into `BenefitJurisdictions` enum values and relies on the surrounding factory to cache the populated instance.

## Purpose
- Translate benefit-jurisdiction lookup rows into enum-backed map entries.
- Keep the table lookup centralized instead of scattering raw code handling across callers.
- Support cached reuse through the `CodeMaps` factory entry point.

## Context
- Namespace: `SAIF.Business.Policy.CodeMaps`
- Assembly/package: `SAIF.Business.Policy`

## Public members
| Member | Signature | Purpose |
| --- | --- | --- |
| `—` | `—` | This type adds no class-specific public members; callers use the inherited code-map surface on instances returned by `CodeMaps.GetBenefitJurisdictionCodeMap(...)`. |

## Behavioral notes
- The `Friend` constructor executes [SQL-001](../../sql/SQL-001-benefit-jurisdiction-code-lookup.md) and maps `S` to `BenefitJurisdictions.State` and `F` to `BenefitJurisdictions.Federal`.
- Instances are intended to be created only by the shared `CodeMaps` factory, not directly by calling code.

## Constraints and usage notes
- Unrecognized source codes are ignored because only the explicit `S` and `F` cases add entries.
- The related public enum is documented separately on [BenefitJurisdictions](BenefitJurisdictions.md).
